CareerPlug Update

I’m just returning from the International Franchise Association annual conference, and I’m more excited about the opportunities we have with CareerPlug than ever!

At the show, I moderated a number round table sessions. Without exception, the number-one challenge for EVERYONE in franchising is recruiting, hiring and retaining employees.

My cohost at one of those roundtables was Clint Smith, the founder of CareerPlug. Listening to Clint reminded me how fortunate we are to have them as our partner for this area! One of the things I like about Clint is that he can relate to each of Neighborly’s franchisees. He started the company in his bedroom with just an idea. Today, 12 years later, he has 60 employees supporting companies like us.

Clint recommended a couple of items that might help you:

  • Missing Person Report: Something that Clint created for himself. He analyzed the skills and abilities missing on his team before he hired someone new. It helped him identify EXACTLY who he needed and what function they would fill in the organization.
  • Functional Accountability Chart: This is free tool that Clint used to build his company. It helped him make sure the he put the right people in the right seat on the bus. Download at https://scalingup.com/growth-tools/

It is insights like these that that keep CareerPlug ahead of their competition. Make sure you are using the full power of this resource. Use the PRO Plan, including:

  • Interview Guides
  • “Fast Track” capabilities, don’t forget to add the texting feature to be the first company to reach the prospect
  • Paperless onboarding
  • Assessment tool before making your final decision to hire

We have an amazing tool. Let it do the heavy lifting for you as you build your world-class team.
