Step 1: Make Neighborly Part of Your Daily Business

You don’t need to have a huge co-branded marketing campaign to be Neighborly. Start with these super simple steps that you can do on your own… today! Check out the Marketing Playbook on the Neighborly Local Marketing Resources page to learn more.

  • Vehicles - Add decals on existing vehicles, or updated wraps for new vehicles, that show you're “a Neighborly company.”
  • Magnets - Use Neighborly magnets as leave-behinds.
  • Customer data - Collect accurate addresses, cell phone numbers, and email addresses.

Step 2: Introduce Yourself

Franchisees tell us all the time, getting to know other Neighborly owners helps them create more value to their business (referrals) and deliver more value to their customers (more home services they can trust).

Here are two really easy steps to get started:

  • Locate your neighbors’ email addresses and phone numbers. Log on to the Neighborly Local Marketing Resources page and access the Find-a-Neighbor tool. This is a great resource to help you find other Neighborly franchisees and export contact info.
  • Use the email template on the Neighborly Local Marketing Resources page to reach out and set up a meeting. Whether talking one-on-one over a cup of coffee, or scheduling a group conversation over lunch, you have a lot of options for a casual introduction.

Step 3: Get to Know Your Neighbors

With introductions out of the way and a meeting on the calendar, be intentional about your time together:

  • Check out the Marketing Playbook on the Neighborly Local Marketing Resources page for ideas on a meeting agenda.
  • Download the Brand Services sheet to share with the group to learn more about the services you offer.
  • Schedule recurring meetings where you can share about each other’s business, and don’t forget to involve your technicians and staff! This helps equip them for customer referrals in the home.

Step 4: Plan an Activity

Brainstorm ways to work together and spread the word in your community. There are many ways you can do this… pick one!
