Neighborly Service Professional Recruiting Project

Check out new recruiting ads available as Neighborly continues to support franchise owners in being Employers of Choice in the home service industry. 

During 2019, Neighborly has focused on building out the RARE (Recruiting and Retention Employer) Toolbox and helping franchisees to become an Employer of Choice (EOC) in the home services industry. To support our efforts for becoming a leading EOC, we have worked with Bullish, a strategy and marketing consulting firm, to gain deeper insights and understanding of how service professionals and licensed trade professionals search for careers and then used this information to create new recruiting ads.

WHAT WAS THE PROCESS?
To build a solid plan, Neighborly and Bullish focused on these three key focus areas:

  • Online surveys to help us understand the motivations, goals, considerations, and decision-making journey of someone currently working in or considering a role in the trades. 
  • Neighborly franchisee interviews were conducted to help us understand how they recruit, where the weaknesses are, and what makes a good hire. 
  • Neighborly service professional interviews were administered to help us understand backgrounds, how they began their journey into the trades, and what motivated them in their pursuit.

Once reviewed, this information was then incorporated into messaging and creative concepts.

NEW RECRUITING PACKAGE NOW AVAILABLE
As a result of the research, we are excited to provide franchise owners with a new service-professional focused Recruiting Package that includes creative materials with key messaging designed to help expedite the process of finding and hiring quality service professionals. Available creative pieces, including flyers, social image and career page header, are pictured below. 

WHAT’S NEXT?
These creative materials will be available for download from our Ad Builder system through XpressDocs in the recruiting section (single sign-on through FranConnect Sky). We will also be changing out the header photo on your CareerPlug website header, with an option to select the previous photo version should you choose.
